The first trip of the summer was the third year mid trip across the lake to Laurel Lake Campground.
After a bit of a detour to visit the Sunken Island we made it to the campground. After setting up the tents and getting started on the fire, the girls and Lady Matoaka explored and visited the camp store.
We enjoyed burgers and hotdogs for dinner and spent the evening around the campfire chatting and making smores.
The following day we headed down to the beach and enjoyed cooling off and playing in the lake before lunch. After playing the camera game and taking numerous selfies we packed up the tents and got back in the canoes to head back across the lake.
