Once again the plan for the first year mids was to climb Mt. Monadnock, but it just wasn’t to be. We set off for Monadnock State Park on the Saturday where we were able to camp overnight. We setup the tents and enjoyed cooking burgers and hotdogs over the fire, before roasting smores.
In the morning we packed up the tents and had breakfast just before the rain started. Due to yet another thunderstorm we set off for the SEE Science Center in Manchester, the girls had a great time and loved participating in the interactive exhibits. The favourites were making big bubbles and also the shadow exhibit, where you would stand in front of this plastic material, make a fun shape or pose and then wait for the flash, making it look like your shadow was frozen in place.
After leaving the Science Center we enjoyed a picnic lunch in a gazebo in a nearby park, before heading back to camp.
